Apply to as much companies as you can through various sources like job portals,
Company's website, Consultancies and references.
Make some independent projects and upgrade you basic skills. Showcase them on
different forms and include them in your resume.
There are many recruiting firms which help you get an interview. Try them.
Attend some live projects and learn the things in real environment. Mention it in your resume.
Once you get a chance to get in to some interviewed prepare yourself and be ready to give
your 100% effort.
Don’t miss the following things:
Research about the company
Do your homework and look for more and more information about the company, their already posted jobs. Try to understand their core area of work. Know about their history and founders/directors. Check their LinkedIn pages. In short do a complete research before appearing in the interview.
Talk about your projects
Interviewer would love to listen you when you would discuss about the technologies you have applied in your project. Explain them in detail that how you managed to develop your project and what were the difficulties. If you project is matching with their objectives most of the time you get hired.
Your resume should be crisp and bulleted.
Make your resume in such a format that should be legible and well constructed in grammar. Don’t try to make it lengthy, write it to the points. And emphasize on your project description and your responsibilities. All should be bulleted and not in paragraphs. Because nobody has so much time to read your resume thoroughly.
Take care of you Introduction part
When you are asked to tell me about yourself, explain yourself and exhibit your skills. This is the time you should sell your abilities. Avoid sentences like “If I would be given chance…” or “ I am passionate…”, etc. That actually doesn’t help you. Always be ready to introduce yourself in most impressive way. Talk about your real life experiences challenges and how you tackled them. Be confident yet calm.
Exhibit your online activities
Showcase your works on Blogs, GitHub, LinkedIn, etc. ask seniors for LinkedIn recommendations.. Also always be curious for new things in the IT market. Always keep yourself updated with
the latest technology news.
